Top 6 Apps for Working Out At Home

I am a group fitness junkie by heart. However, there are some days that I only have a couple minutes to move, the weather is terrible, or my dog is being too cute so I have no choice but to stay at home and workout.

On those days, I have a couple go-to apps that help me workout while watching Real Housewives. It’s a win-win for everybody involved! (And by everyone involved I mean me and my dog…)

1. Pilates Anytime

This perennial favorite of Pilates Instructors is great for when I’m traveling or want to do an at-home mat Pilates workout.

There are over 3,000 videos (including workshops if you want to nerd out!) and has a free 15 day trial.

2. Every Mother

I’ve talked about this program before but it will forever by my go-to for a quick ab workout.  At only 10 minutes a day, this program has made a huge difference in my core.

Don’t be discouraged by the name because I’ve personally seen results in my core and I’ve never given birth. I’ve also seen amazing results with clients battling diastasis recti; one client in particular lost 6 inches of her waist line! Not that that’s the main focus around my blog but it doesn’t hurt.

An extension of BBG, SWEAT has various programs to help you achieve your goals. My favorite one is PWR At Home, which is perfect for those learning how to lift weights at home.

4. John Garey TV

Another great Pilates resource, John Garey offers great mat workouts that I use at home when I’m short on time/people-d out.

5. Couch to 5k

I’ve done Tough Mudder twice and a couple 5ks (gross #humblebrag, I know) and each time the running was almost the end of me. I hate running with a passion so why I ever particpated in a bunch of running events is beyond me.

The Couch to 5k programs have been instrumental in helping me to learn to run, make me faster, and keep me motivated.

6. Inscape

Technically not a workout but this app delivers mindfulness and, to be honest, getting myself to slow down, calm down, and breathe is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

I use this mediation and mindfulness app to help me calm down, sleep better, get hyped up, get focused, and motivate myself to take on big projects.
